Breathwork for Generational Healing
Pain travels through families until someone is ready to feel it themselves.
In our bodies we can hold the emotional pain and trauma of our ancestors.
When we go on a breathwork journey we release the emotional energy no longer serving us, thus freeing us as well as 7 generations before and after us.
Healing happens by feeling.
The work
This intention based class combines a lying down guided open mouth breath with curated music that promotes personal healing through grounding, awareness, releasing and gratitude. Participants are invited to vary the speed and intensity of their breath, along with using movement and sound to support the inner work. We begin by grounding, followed by an active 2 part breath for 25 minutes leading into an extended integration.
What can you feel during Breathwork?
Experience releasing emotional energy stuck in our bodies while opening our hearts. Cut through the layers of emotions we have held in our bodies by "sweeping them under the carpet" that have created an armor around our hearts. When we quiet the monkey mind and dive deep, we face our emotions and allow those no longer serving us to be released.
Emotional energy is activated through the breath. People can have a variety of experiences including; tingling in various parts of their bodies, tetnay or “lobster claws” where your hands feel cramped or lightheaded / dizzy. This is why the practice is done lying down.
Charity
Barb is raising funds to donate to Angels In Motion AC NJ, a charity that supports individuals affected by substance use disorder and homelessness with compassion and respect. Please consider sending her a venmo payment (@barbara-eckert-3) as she will be donating it all to offset the cost of supplying monthly lunches to our friends experiencing homelessness .
What you need

”There is a life-force within your soul, seek that life. There is a gem in the mountain of your body, seek that mine. O traveler, if you are in search of That, don’t look outside, look inside yourself and seek that” - Rumi.
